Job description

Manager, Maintenance & Operations

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, plan, organize, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the daily operations of the District's centralized custodial services program. The Manager, Maintenance & Operations is responsible for ensuring District facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, secure, and orderly condition; assigning and inspecting custodial work; supervising, training and supporting custodial staff; managing custodial schedules, supplies, equipment, and cleaning standards; and responding to site needs, special events, emergencies, and after-hours operational requirements. The position also assists with general maintenance activities, facility inspections, minor repairs, work order coordination, and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Valid and appropriate California Driver's License and safe driving record. Insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier. Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial, maintenance, facilities, or school operations work. Must obtain within six (6) months of employment first aid certification, including CPR training, and keep both current. Must obtain within six (6) months of employment, Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification. Department of Justice clearance. Current TB test with screening every four years to remain up to date. Completion of custodial, maintenance, safety, supervision, or facilities-related training is desirable.
