Material Handler (Be a key player in a fast-paced team!)

Western Container – Material Handler

If you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, and being a key part of a production team, this role is for you. As a Material Handler, you’ll help keep our operation running smoothly by making sure materials are in the right place at the right time, safely and efficiently. Your work directly supports production, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll join a collaborative team that values safety, organization, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Move, stage, and track materials throughout the facility to support production and shipping
  • Load and unload trailers; receive and verify inbound and outbound shipments
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation using ERP and basic computer systems
  • Supply production lines with materials and manage in-process inventory
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment (pulling, packing, and securing product)
  • Operate and inspect material-handling equipment, including forklifts
  • Keep bays, staging areas, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
  • Work closely with production and management to meet customer demand
  • Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification (required)
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred
  • Comfortable using computers and basic software (ERP, Outlook, & Excel)
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and safety-focused
