Job Summary

The Girls Assistant Volleyball Coach at Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School supports the head coach in developing and maintaining a competitive volleyball program while fostering student-athlete growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship in alignment with the school's mission and values.

Job Responsibilities
Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies
Support coaching during games, including player rotations, skill development, and in-game adjustments
Help monitor and develop student-athletes' skills, discipline, and teamwork
Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and respect among players
Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and practice setup/cleanup
Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team activities
Ensure compliance with school, conference, and athletic association rules and policies
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff as needed
Support off-season training, conditioning, and team development activities

Job Requirements
High school diploma required; coaching experience preferred
Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies
Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletic staff, and administration
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
Availability for practices, games, and team events (including evenings and weekends)
Must pass background check and complete required school/diocesan training
