Title: QA Engineer
Start Date: Sept 28, 2026
Duration: 12 months
Location: Culver City, CA Hybrid (Tue thru Thursday onsite, Remote on Mon & Friday)
Work Hours: 10 AM 5 PM PST (Flexibility in schedule based on project needs. Possibly an hour up or down.)
Pay Rate: $40/hr. - $45/hr. W2 - DOE
Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative QA Engineer with the curiosity to break things and identify issues before they reach customers.

You will join our client team, working with the Content Tools team to create new services and tools for managing and distributing Client s extensive media content.

In this role, you will test tools, software, and services to ensure seamless integration and deliver the highest-quality customer experience.

As a member of the Quality Team, you will play a key role in:

• Defining test strategies
• Writing automation scripts
• Testing web applications and services
• Identifying and documenting defects
• Communicating quality status and release readiness

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications.
• Build and extend automated UI test suites using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Perform API testing (REST/JSON) using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent libraries.
• Investigate, reproduce, and clearly document defects, including:
• Reproduction steps
• Expected vs. actual behavior
• Logs
• Screenshots
• Collaborate with developers and product teams on:
• Requirements reviews
• Test planning
• Release readiness
• Participate in:
• Regression testing
• Smoke testing
• Exploratory testing
• Contribute to continuous improvement of:
• Test strategy
• QA tooling
• CI integration

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1 3 years of professional QA experience testing web applications.
• Candidates should have progressed from primarily manual testing into active test automation.
• Hands-on experience writing automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Python, and/or Java.
• Candidates should be able to build and maintain automated UI test suites.
• Candidates should understand how to test and validate REST/JSON APIs.
• Look for experience with Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• API testing experience should go beyond basic UI testing.
• Working knowledge of API testing concepts, including:
• HTTP methods
• Status codes
• Request/response validation
• Authentication
• Familiarity with Git and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Candidates should be able to write clear, technically precise bug reports that include:
• Logs
• Screenshots
• Replication steps
• Expected vs. actual results
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create clear, technically precise, and reproducible bug reports.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Familiarity or experimentation with AI tooling in QA workflows.
• Experience working with Digital Supply Chain, Digital Media or Content Management systems.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with demonstrated experience in Quality Engineering.
