Job description

Expediter / Crane & Forklift Operator II
Location: Aiken, SC | Onsite | 6-Month Contract | 4/40 Schedule (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
About the Role
Join Indotronix as an Expediter / Crane & Forklift Operator II and play a vital role in supporting CMS Operations within our Platforms & Services division. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the safe, efficient production of top-quality components that meet exacting defense standards. This position offers hands-on experience, opportunities for skill development, and a collaborative team environment where your contributions are recognized.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload parts onto weld tables and fixtures; stage weldments and fixtures in production or lay-down areas
- Review paperwork to ensure process accuracy prior to moving items to next operations
- Inspect components for damage and report issues to maintain quality standards
- Operate forklifts, cranes, rigging, and a variety of material handling equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and strictly safety-compliant workspace
- Support team objectives by performing additional production and assembly tasks as required
- Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of workplace safety
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or material handling environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift operation experience and certification or qualification
- Ability to pass crane and rigging training within two months of hire
- Demonstrated attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years' experience operating pallet lifts, cranes, and both sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Previous experience in assembly or production environments
