Job description

Own Supplier Performance. Drive Margin. Influence the Business.

This is

not a traditional procurement role

.

We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially driven leader to take ownership of enterprise-wide supplier performance and cost optimization across a multi-site manufacturing network. This role sits at the intersection of Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Operations and plays a critical role in protecting margin, improving cost accuracy, and ensuring supply continuity.

If you’re energized by solving complex cost challenges, influencing cross-functional teams, and holding suppliers accountable to performance—you’ll thrive here.

About Us

We are a multi-site manufacturing organization serving leading OEMs across automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. With a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and people-first leadership, we are building the next generation of supply chain performance.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're a high-performing sourcing or supply chain leader looking for broader scope, financial ownership, and real business influence, we’d love to connect.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Enterprise impact – Own Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and cost performance across multiple plants

  • Direct EBITDA influence – Identify, drive, and deliver measurable margin improvements

  • Cross-functional visibility – Regular interaction with Operations, Finance, and senior leadership

  • Supplier leadership – Lead strategic supplier relationships, performance reviews, and accountability

  • Build & improve systems – Shape how we manage cost, performance, and supplier strategy going forward

What You’ll Own

Drive Cost & Margin Performance

  • Own and manage PPV performance across all sites

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve EBITDA and cash flow

  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of PO, invoice, and standard cost discrepancies

  • Partner with Finance to strengthen cost accuracy and forecasting

Elevate Supplier Performance

  • Establish and drive supplier accountability across cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness

  • Lead supplier business reviews with key strategic partners

  • Build and enhance supplier scorecards and performance frameworks

  • Strengthen relationships while holding suppliers to clear, measurable expectations

Lead Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Initiatives

  • Execute strategic sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations

  • Identify and deliver cost savings and total cost optimization opportunities

  • Support enterprise initiatives related to pricing, contracts, and supplier strategy

Strengthen Supply Continuity & Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity, allocation, and supply disruption

  • Develop and support dual sourcing and contingency strategies

  • Monitor key market drivers (resins, logistics, macro trends) that impact cost and supply

Be a Cross-Functional Leader

  • Act as the key liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and AP

  • Drive consistent cost management processes across all locations

  • Participate in monthly operations and leadership reviews

  • Support plant teams during escalations or supply disruptions

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, cost analysis, or manufacturing finance

  • Deep experience with PPV, standard costing, or variance analysis

  • Strong analytical capability (advanced Excel, modeling, data interpretation)

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience working directly with strategic suppliers

  • Track record of driving measurable business impact (cost savings, margin improvement)

Bonus Points For:

  • Multi-site manufacturing experience

  • Plastics or injection molding industry experience

  • ERP systems (SAP, Plex, Oracle, IQMS)

  • Exposure to rebate programs or cost recovery initiatives

What Success Looks Like

  • PPV is predictable, controlled, and improving.

  • Supplier performance is transparent and consistently measured.

  • Cost discrepancies are quickly identified and resolved.

  • Suppliers are accountable, aligned, and performance-driven.

  • The business sees clear, measurable margin improvement.

Who Thrives Here

  • You challenge the status quo and don’t accept “that’s how it’s always been done.”

  • You bring a finance mindset into supply chain decisions.

  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and complexity.

  • You hold yourself and others accountable to results, not activity.

  • You want a role where your work directly impacts the bottom line.

You should be proficient in:

  • Project Management
  • Supplier Management
  • Vendor & Supplier Management
  • ERP & MRP Systems
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Injection Molding Experience
  • Analysis Programs
  • Microsoft Excel
