Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Level 4)

Location: Rochester, NY 14642
Pay: $2,200 – $2,400 per week
Start Date: 04/13/2026
Contract: Through 07/11/2026 (option to extend)
Schedule: Rotating D/E/N shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call/callback as needed
Openings: 5


Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (RN) to join a high-acuity surgical team at a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of complex surgical cases and advanced procedures, including robotic and transplant surgeries.


Practice / Unit Details:

  • Level 1 Trauma Center

  • Wide range of surgical specialties:

    • Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastics

    • Urology, Cardiac, Neuro, Vascular

    • Ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, Thoracic

    • Oral-maxillofacial and trauma cases

  • Da Vinci robotic systems (2 units) used across specialties

  • Active transplant program (liver, kidney, heart)

  • High-acuity, fast-paced OR environment


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrub and circulate in a variety of surgical procedures

  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room

  • Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes

  • Respond to on-call and emergent surgical needs


Schedule & Additional Info:

  • Rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)

  • On-call, callback, weekends, and holidays required

  • Floating based on unit needs


Requirements (Must Have):

  • Active NY State RN License (required)

  • Minimum 2 years OR experience

  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting preferred

  • Ability to scrub and circulate

  • BLS (AHA required)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS (preferred)

  • Experience with:

    • Transplant surgeries

    • Plastics and reconstructive cases

    • Craniotomy procedures

    • Strong orthopedic background
