Job description

Wavelynx is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering and a proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, identify appropriate solutions, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services. 

The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment or services are involved.

This is an on-site role with one day of remote work. 


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drive sales for the entire suite of Wavelynx products: readers, credentials, and mobile solutions
  • Leverage technical expertise to understand client needs in physical access security, demonstrate our superior solution, and facilitate the sales process from initial contact through to successful implementation
  • Prepare, develop, and conduct technical presentations to explain our products and services to both technical and non-technical customers.  This can include technical training for Wavelynx partners
  • Provide technical consultations and responses to RFPs and RFIs (integrators and consultants)
  • Collaborate with the engineering teams to tailor Wavelynx products to client-specific requirements (custom configurations, plastics, credentials, etc.)
  • Train other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of Wavelynx products
  • Gather client feedback (end-users, integrators, OEM partners) for continuous product improvement, system requirements, equipment needs, and customer satisfaction. Ensure that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
  • Travel to provide solution demos for customers, partners, and trade shows
  • Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains the benefits of changes
  • Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment
  • Prepares product orders and schedules deliveries
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a field related to products and services being sold is preferred
  • 2-4 years of product or sales experience required


Benefits & Salary: $80-$100k base + $12k SIP for a Total Expected OTE of $92-112k annually
