Job description

3-Dimensional Services Group is seeking a plastic injection mold operator for first shift at its Rochester Hills, MI location.
Shift: 7AM-3:30PM, overtime should be expected.
Job Purpose: Works to set up and operate injection mold machines that shape qualified plastic or other materials through a process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine start up
  • Purging material from the press
  • Periodically clean the mold to prevent parts from sticking
  • Operate the Injection Mold press
  • Trim, clean, package and label parts correctly
  • Assist in troubleshooting the press with appropriate personnel
  • Material handling as needed (certification is required through the company)
  • Keep up with housekeeping in your respected work area
  • Inspect all parts produced for quality
  • Document any scrap parts produced during shift
  • Build packaging for finished goods
  • Understand how to process defects, mold change and machine malfunction
  • Deliver finished goods to shipping
  • Stock material and/or products
  • Minor maintenance tasks (upon request)
  • Stock pallets in preparation for finished goods
  • Follow required PPE, and all company safety and Company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Special Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
  • 2-year relevant work experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Self-Motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Works well in a team environment
