Job description

We are a growing plastic injection molding manufacturer focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Process Technician to join our production team and help support efficient manufacturing operations.

Position Summary

The Process Technician is responsible for evaluating and monitoring molding processes, starting and troubleshooting injection molding machines, assisting with setups, performing root cause analysis, and supporting production efficiency and quality standards. This position also assists with training and documentation for new jobs and first runs.

Schedule

  • Graveyard Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Full-time or part-time positions available

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, implement, and monitor manufacturing processes and operating systems for plastic products
  • Perform equipment calibration and maintenance monitoring
  • Start up injection molding machines and supporting equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues
  • Assist with mold changes and cycle start-ups
  • Process and understand a wide range of molding materials
  • Perform teardown and cleaning of barrels and screws
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on molds and tooling
  • Complete first-run documentation for new jobs
  • Assist with setup activities and root cause analysis
  • Train and support production personnel as needed
  • Perform material handler and machine operator duties when required
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Setup or Process Technician preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

  • Strong understanding of injection molding machines and processing
  • Basic knowledge of mold/tool construction and operation
  • Mechanical troubleshooting ability
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking
