Job description

Job Title: Plastic Injection Mold Operator

Job Description

This role operates automated and manual plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components, primarily for medical products such as mouth guards and hard plastic cases. You will work in a clean room environment, perform visual inspections and trimming, and support production by operating small packaging and sealing equipment while following strict documentation and dress code standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated and manual plastic injection molding machines to produce plastic medical parts and other plastic components.
  • Perform trimming of molded parts to ensure clean, accurate, and consistent finishes.
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of parts to identify defects, ensure quality, and maintain compliance with medical production standards.
  • Work in a clean room environment and follow all gowning procedures and cleanliness protocols.
  • Complete required medical and production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate small equipment such as sealing machines, packaging machines, folder machines, and sonic welders as needed.
  • Package finished products according to specifications and ensure correct labeling and presentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for all manufacturing and assembly tasks.
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks over the course of the shift.
  • Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and quality standards in the production area.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding issues, defects, or process improvements.
  • Comply with the required dress code and clean room attire at all times while on the production floor.

Work Environment

Sweatpants, pajama pants, shorts, sandals, and hats are not permitted. The facility has a noticeable plastic smell, so candidates should be comfortable working in that type of environment. Work is repetitive and detail-oriented, requiring consistent concentration and quality focus throughout the shift. The schedule is a night shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday or Monday-Friday, with an associated shift differential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
