In Clinton Township, our clean, climate-controlled facility hums quietly overnight. That’s when you take the reins. As an Injection Molding Process Specialist, you’ll keep molds running at peak performance, fine-tune parameters for quality, and chase down the root causes behind any hiccups—so critical medical components are ready by morning.

A night in the life

You arrive to a stable, well-organized floor and immediately review production data from earlier runs. A part dimension drifts—so you adjust processing parameters, stabilize the process window, and verify first-piece quality. You collaborate with production and maintenance to keep uptime high, tighten cycle times, and minimize scrap. Before shift’s end, you document learnings to lock in repeatable quality for the next run.

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Training on first shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) for several weeks
What you'll handle
  • Monitor and optimize injection molding processes for consistent quality
  • Troubleshoot molding defects and process issues to eliminate root causes
  • Adjust and document processing parameters to maintain tight tolerances
  • Improve cycle times while reducing scrap and waste
  • Partner with production and maintenance to maximize equipment performance
  • Ensure quality holds through the entire production run
What you bring
  • 3+ years in a Process Technician or similar plastics processing role
  • Hands-on injection molding experience (required)
  • Proven troubleshooting of molding processes and defects
  • Strong command of molding parameters and process optimization
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on third shift
