Job Description


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors and maintains equipment used in manufacturing process.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required.

  • Reports malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Maintains productivity in accordance with plant goals.

  • Monitors own work area to ensure that it remains free of obstructions and other hazards.

  • Completes any necessary paperwork.

  • Complies with good manufacturing practices and all other FDA regulations.

  • Wears protective clothing as required.

  • Works in a safe manner.

  • Follows standard operating procedures.

  • Completes all required training.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two years' experience in plastics injection molding preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Mathematical Skills: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

  • Reasoning Ability: Good reasoning ability to solve problems. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Other: On-the-job training provided.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes.

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout the day.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Good dexterity to handle small parts.

  • Good vision to see details.

  • Ability to discern colors.

  • Hearing sufficient to hear equipment signals.

  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools.

  • Environmental Conditions: Exposure to noise, vibration, temperature changes, humidity, chemical fumes/odors, greases/oils, dust, dirt, etc.


Travel Requirements: <10%
