  • Position: Maintenance Technician (Plastic Injection Molding)
  • Location: South Bend, IN (On-Site)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 
  • Compensation: $28 - $30/hr (Dependent on Experience)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary: This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on all plastic injection molding machinery and equipment including robots, chillers, thermolators and hot running systems.

 Essential Functions:
  • Repairing, troubleshooting, and inspecting all mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Performing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on machines and robots according to specifications.
  • Regularly checking heater bands, rings and pulling screws / barrels.
  • Safely utilizing the proper equipment to access jobs to both remove and install parts.

Ideal Candidate Experience:
  • Prior plastic injection molding maintenance experience (required).
  • Ability to follow established procedures, read blueprints and maintain accurate records.
  • Understanding of auxiliary, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, robots and machines.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Physical Demands of position:
  • Ability to work in loud manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional need to bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs..
  • Frequent walking / standing.
