This residential complex comprises five phases, spread across five apartment towers, for a total of 850 apartments. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities within the residence. They are responsible for requisitions, emergency calls, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents. They also perform various building maintenance tasks such as painting, plastering, tile installation, minor carpentry work, light fixture and faucet replacements, and various installations. As part of their duties, they may be required to lift heavy loads. HOURLY : Temporary Position Full time 40 hours per week Monday to Friday From 7am to 4pm Weekends as needed. GENERAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide efficient customer service that meets their needs Perform all other tasks related to his/her duties and at the request of his/her immediate superior. At all times, ensure compliance with WHMIS standards as well as health and safety rules for employees and residents. Take inventory of products and materials, and place the necessary orders in a timely manner. Managing requisitions and responding to emergencies Integrating, training and evaluating your staff To mobilize, manage and coordinate the work of the residence's maintenance and upkeep team Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and take charge of monitoring expenses Plan, organize and control maintenance work, including subcontracted work. Perform maintenance on the air conditioning, ventilation and heating equipment of the residence Prepare preliminary bids for maintenance and repair projects that need to be outsourced. Ensure that vacant apartments are clean and in excellent condition before the next rentals EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset) Occupational health and safety training WHMIS Training Minimum 5 years experience in minor manual work (painting, electricity, carpentry, plumbing) Experience in personnel management Holds a valid driver's license Knowledge of senior living residences is a major asset.
