Job description

Job summary: This position primarily operates and maintains the laser and plasma cutting equipment. This position may also perform other production activities. Supervisory responsibilities: None Duties/responsibilities: Operate the laser and/or plasma equipment; Select and set up nozzles and/or cutting tips based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment; Monitor process gases and report reordering levels.; Operate overhead crane with chains, hooks, straps, or other lifting devices in a safe manner Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required; Perform all dimensional inspections Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
