Plasma Operator Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a local manufacturing facility who is seeking a Plasma Operator.  The Plasma Operator will operate plasma cutting machines to produce metal or aluminum products that meet high quality standards.  The ideal Plasma Operator has multiple years of previous experience as a Plasma Operator, understands manufacturing processes and has solid experience using tools such as calipers and micrometers. The Plasma Operator position is a full-time, temp to hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Plasma Operator Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up Machines For Production, Including Programming to Ensuring All Steps Are Met For Accuracy 
  • Run Test Sample & Measure Using Calipers & Micrometers Before a Full Production Run 
  • Load & Unload Raw Materials (Steel or Aluminum), Verifying Final Product Meets Quality Standards
  • Follow Blueprints & or Drawings to Perform Precise Measurements & Cuts 
  • Adjust Settings & Verify All Measurements Are Accurate to Troubleshoot Machine Issues 
  • Follow Daily Routine Maintenance Checklist by Cleaning, Organizing, & Ensuring Machines Are Functioning as Expected
  • Report Any Issues to Supervisor 
  • Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements

 

Plasma Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
  • 2+ Years of Plasma Operator/Metal Fabrication Experience 
  • CNC Programming Experience Preferred 
  • Must be Able to Read Blueprints & or Drawings 
  • Must be Familiar With Using Tools to Perform Daily Work Including Micrometers & Calipers
  • Excellent Problem Solving & Organizational Skills Required 
  • Must be Able to Lift up to 50lbs 
  • Demonstrates Excellent Communication & Time Management Skills
