Job description

Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely assisting the Extrusion Operator in operating, loading, and servicing various types of extruding machinery. This position will serve as a backup set of hands for the Extrusion Operator.
*Night Shift.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lifts and positions raw materials manually or with PIT equipment.
  • Assist Operator in performing autonomous maintenance
  • Mounts and positions pelletizer head using hand tools.
  • Blend, extrude, and size plastic pellets
  • Sets and adjusts controls based on specifications.
  • Assist in repairs or replaces machine parts or notifies supervisors.
  • Feeds materials through machines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Able to be forklift certified
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Requires movement throughout the plant, lifting up to 35 pounds, and operating machinery.
  • Crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • 1-year machine operator experience preferred.
