Plant Operator
Production Technician
Our client located in the Northern part of Maryland is currently looking for a Plant Operator to work in their Production Department. Please review the information below and if you feel you have the experience our client is looking for and would like to be considered please apply.
Responsibilities:
* Perform in-tank regeneration processes to support ongoing production and material reuse
* Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure proper handling and discharge standards
* Run filter press equipment to separate solids and liquids as part of the treatment process
* Conduct testing and basic analysis of wastewater, including monitoring metal content and overall quality
* Manage chemical inventory levels, including bulk materials and drum handling, ensuring proper storage and usage
* Support bulk resin regeneration processes as needed within the facility
* Assist with general plant upkeep and maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly
* Load and unload trucks, handling materials safely and efficiently
* Maintain accurate records of processes, material usage, and testing results
* Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations related to chemical handling and waste processing
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
* Work collaboratively with team members to support daily production and operational goals
Requirements:
* Position will begin on a day shift schedule for training and transition to a full-time 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts)
* Final night shift hours will be confirmed, and flexibility is required
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
* Experience operating a forklift or willingness to be trained
* Comfortable using basic hand tools in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Ability to work in physically active conditions, including standing for extended periods
* Willingness to work in wet or damp environments as required by the process
