Your Role: Engineering Intern - Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Engineering team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant, contributing to a hands-on technical project focused on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational excellence. Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Understand the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with different stakeholders to solve problems

  • Work within cross-functional teams to build vendor relationships and new process capability implementation

  • Data visualization tool creation/usage and documentation updates

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or Biological.

  • Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Have an interest in using data to solve problems, improving processes, or working in manufacturing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision

  • Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
