Job description

Leading, state-of-the-art P/S Label and Shrink Sleeve printing and converting company in CT is actively searching to hire an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and direct all supervisory personnel, production employees, and administrative staff = 60+ employees.
  • Meet plant's operating objectives, production efficiency, safety, regulatory, and quality targets.
  • Oversee production scheduling, raw materials, plant maintenance, finished goods inventory and shipping.
  • Monitor operations vs. production stds. and make adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible for budgeting and developing annual profit plan.
  • Review quality control reports and programs to incoming raw materials to finished goods.
  • Oversee plant employee relations including staffing, training, and compensation management.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Make recommendations for capital equipment and expenditures.
  • Supervise the installation and start-up of new equipment.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 7 years' manufacturing management experience in flexographic printing; P/S label and/or shrink sleeve manufacturing preferred.
  • Possess production management, administrative, financial and technical acumen to meet the plant's operational goals.
  • Familiar with government regulations relating to DOL, EEOC, EPA and OSHA and their impact on operators.
  • Excellent communication and tact in dealing with plant personnel and clients.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
