JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Relocate and straighten printing department sheeted stock to cutting press assigned to work order. This process requires the lifting and movement of heavy process-related items and requires time management while retrieving and straightening work in progress loads of paper. The Aerator will also assist with Cutting Operator breaks while completing all procedures and documentation regarding the cutting process in a safe manner.

  • Safe Quality Foods
    • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
    • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
    • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
    • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
    • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
  • Quality
    • Verifying the correct work order is placed at each assigned work center
    • Ensures all products are manufactured to company/customer specifications
    • Documents all defects in GainSeeker and place them in the appropriate area
  • Accurately reporting
    • Downtime and Maintenance work orders
    • Mislabeled or Missing Confirmation tickets from Printing
  • Obtain needed materials
    • Have all required material staged and ready
    • Assist with the Make Ready process
    • Troubleshoot issues regarding cutting off, feeder trips and piling up of waste
    • Pull schedule from SAP for all Cutting work centers
    • Utilization of SAP Pick List to verify all materials for the given work center has been located.
      • Missing loads should be reported to the Lead and Supervisor
  • Other duties assigned
    • Perform preventative maintenance as required
    • Report off-color, coating stickers and damaged goods to CI and Supervisor
    • Mentor/training others to perform this job duty
    • Perform Daily Housekeeping tasks
      • Daily pallet jack inspection
      • Sweeping designated department/area
      • Emptying recycling bins
      • Removing table sheets from Cutting press
    • Paint cutter and other areas of the department as needed
    • Ensure that New Hires or General Helpers assigned to the equipment are correctly/effectively trained to perform task meant to maintain a running cutter.
