Job Summary: The Job Scheduler Intern will be responsible for a variety of duties in support of the Company’s Virtual OneStop (VOS) software solution. They will support the Job Scheduling team in monitoring, documenting, and maintaining batch jobs and schedules. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise job scheduling tools, SQL scripting, and production operations in a SaaS environment. The intern will work alongside experienced team members to learn job scheduling best practices while contributing to real-world projects and day-to-day operations.


THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION. CANDIDATE MUST WILLING TO WORK AT THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN PALM HARBOR, FL. MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS A WEEK.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring existing scheduled jobs to ensure proper functioning
  • Help monitor, report on, and analyze job failures under team guidance
  • Support the conversion of existing SQL scripts to ActiveBatch
  • Use Visio and Word to document and design how batch jobs work
  • Assist in creating and maintaining accurate documentation, including job dependencies and standard operating procedures
  • Navigate the Job Scheduler to observe and learn job monitoring processes
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn how to plan, develop, and test new jobs and job schedules
  • Shadow team members in reviewing job processing and optimizing schedules
  • Assist in creating change controls/tickets for scheduling-related maintenance and application updates
  • Help organize and prioritize tasks in the operational environment
  • Participate in team meetings with clients, vendors, and internal departments to gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain professional conduct
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned Maintain web applications

Key Skills:

  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL concepts
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and seek guidance from mentors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information Basic admin skills

  • Currently enrolled in either A.S., B.S., or M.S. program at a University

Hours:

  • Flexible based on School schedule
