Job description

This position is CONTINGENT on contract award. S&K Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to perform organizational-level scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on P-8A aircraft at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The position performs troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, component replacement, maintenance documentation, and flight-line support.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, remove, and install aircraft systems and components
  • Interpret technical publications, schematics, drawings, and maintenance instructions
  • Perform operational checks and assist with aircraft inspections
  • Document maintenance actions in NALCOMIS/OOMA and required aircraft records
  • Support aircraft launches, recoveries, servicing, towing, jacking, and movement
  • Lead maintenance tasks or inspect work when qualified and designated
  • Comply with NAMP, safety, quality, tool-control, and FOD-prevention requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection procedures
  • Ability to interpret aircraft technical data and use required tools and test equipment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be willing to travel when required
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • P-8, P-3, 737, or comparable military aircraft experience
  • NAMP, NALCOMIS, OOMA experience
  • Plane Captain, CDI, CDQAR, ordnance, or aircraft-turn qualifications
