Job description


Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Oracle APEX / PL/SQL Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. In this role, you will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise web applications built on Oracle technologies.
Working alongside business stakeholders, technical teams, and database administrators, you will translate business requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly applications. You'll leverage Oracle APEX, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3 to develop responsive applications, integrate enterprise services and data sources, optimize application and database performance, and support solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
As an Oracle APEX / PL/SQL Developer, you'll have the opportunity to develop and support enterprise Oracle applications while contributing to application design, integration, performance, security, and ongoing technical improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Develop complex database functionality using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and dynamic SQL.
  • Build responsive and intuitive Oracle APEX user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Customize Oracle APEX components, including Interactive Grids, Interactive Reports, forms, Dynamic Actions, Lists of Values (LOVs), validations, processes, and shared components.
  • Implement client-side functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, and Oracle APEX JavaScript APIs.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful services and APIs with Oracle APEX applications.
  • Integrate Oracle APEX applications with external systems and data sources.
  • Design efficient SQL queries and optimize application and database performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, PL/SQL, JavaScript, and database-related issues.
  • Implement application security using APEX authentication and authorization schemes, session-state protection, access controls, and secure coding practices.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, code reviews, testing, and production deployments.
  • Develop reusable Oracle APEX components and establish development standards and best practices.
  • Perform routine health checks and support optimization of system performance, availability, access controls, and security.
  • Support system optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, risks, and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.
  • Maintain technical documentation for applications, database objects, integrations, and deployment procedures.
  • Provide ongoing production support, debugging, maintenance, and application enhancements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Five (5) or more years of professional software development experience, including significant hands-on development using Oracle technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing applications with Oracle APEX.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience developing PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and jQuery, particularly within Oracle APEX applications.
  • Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive web application development.
  • Experience customizing Oracle APEX Universal Theme and application user interfaces.
  • Experience with APEX Dynamic Actions and client-side/server-side processing.
  • Experience developing and customizing Interactive Reports and Interactive Grids.
  • Understanding of AJAX-based processing and communication between APEX pages and PL/SQL.
  • Experience consuming or developing REST APIs and RESTful Web Services.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and SQL performance optimization.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications using browser developer tools and Oracle APEX debugging capabilities.
  • Understanding of application security and secure software development practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a development team.

  • Experience with recent versions of Oracle APEX, including APEX 24.x.
