About the Job:
SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.
We are committed to supporting healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area by maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS). Our team ensures medications are readily available, properly tracked, and aligned with billing and regulatory standards.
ADU Travel Technician - Pittsburgh, PA & Eastern OH Area.
Responsibilities:
  • Work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area.
  • Maintain active communication with client facility staff and pharmacy teams, primarily via email.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within each Automated Dispensing System (ADS), including:
  • Medication quantities.
  • Expiration dates.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
  • Replace medications that are approaching expiration to maintain compliance and patient safety.
  • Perform monthly audits (cycle counts) to ensure system accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standard.
  • Represent SpecialtyRx professionally while onsite at client facilities.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license (as required by state regulations).
  • Previous pharmacy, inventory management, or ADS experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally.
  • Ability to perform light lifting.
Schedule: Per Diem:
  • Day shift (schedule may vary based on facility needs) 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
  • Local travel required within the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern OH area.
