Job description

Job SummaryResponsibilities

Responsible for order fulfillment activities at the Market Unit Distribution Center including all functional areas of distribution operations and warehousing. This includes but not limited to Receiving; Put-away; Replenishment; Customer Order Fulfillment; Dock Activity - Shipping; Inventory Cycle Counting; Sanitation and Maintenance, daily assignments to support these activities, and other duties in greater or lesser degrees as determined by supervisory staff.

1)Accurately pick, sort, put away, and stage customer orders according to product code, lot number, and quantity requested.

2)Inspects truck/container for the condition of temperature and cleanliness and reports any abnormality to management.

3)Organizes the dock and prepares for inbound and outbound shipments.

4)Notate and report any discrepancies and/or damages to the Supervisor per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

5)Check picked orders for accuracy of lot numbers, quantities, and document completion.

6)Accurately pack customer orders in compliance with instructions on the order form or as provided by the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

7)Pack completed orders in such a manner as to protect the product from loss or damage.

8)Process parcel shipments using the provided Ship Station Meters. Palletize metered packages for transfer to the appropriate carrier and mode of shipping (ground or air).

9)For less than truck load (LTL) palletized shipments; scan, palletize cases, weigh and stretch-wrap truck orders.

10) Create, check, or print Bill of Lading (BOL), packing slips, and accurately stage for shipping or receiving as required.

11) Confirms and compares all identifying information and counts items to verify information against BOL, packing lists, invoices, orders, or other records.

12) Verifies and files records of all receiving and shipping documentation at the time of delivery and receipt.

13) Inputs receipts into SAP, utilizing both radio frequency (RF) scanning devices and desktop or laptop terminals.

14) Loading and unloading of trucks as assigned.

15) Supports inventory cycle counts, as required by Inventory Control.

16) Observe all safety guidelines; inform Supervisor of any safety hazards; attend all required safety training classes.

17) Able to operate material handling equipment as necessary to move materials while complying with all safety and power industrial truck operating rules.

18) Responsible to learn all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and be fully compliant with all regulations regarding the handling, storage, and shipping of Dangerous Drugs and Medical Devices.

19) Cleans, maintains, and ensures proper housekeeping in the facility to meet and exceed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

20) Responsible for reasonable duties as assigned by Team Lead or Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous related experience is not required, however, knowledge of warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), such as, walkie-riders, cherry pickers, deep reaches, and sit-down forklifts.
  • Ability to learn new skills, have a high level of attention to detail and demonstrate personal responsibility.
  • Basic mathematical and reading skills in English .
  • Effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment, organizational skills, time-management skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products is a plus.
