Pipeline And Terminal Operator
Job Location (Short): O'ahu, Honolulu, Hawaii
The Opportunity Pipeline and Terminal Operator at a growth-oriented energy company. Work with a cohesive team to serve a small community. Reporting to the Pipeline and Terminal Operations Manager, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and pipeline and terminal facilities with minimal supervision. Perform routine operations and maintenance for Company-owned or operated pipeline and terminal facilities.
Key activities include:
- Support the maintenance and repair of pipeline and terminal facilities keeping it in good working order and acceptable appearance. Includes valve inspections, cutting and threading pipe, bolting and unbolting flanges, pipeline coating application, scraper tracking, operation of 101 machines, tec.
- Work may also include operation of hand tools, power tools, forklifts and other equipment, such as a mower and/or chainsaws.
- Support damage prevention program including One Calls, Right of Way investigations and maintenance, 3rd Party Crossings, Property Owner awareness activities, as required.
- Stay aware of all environmental regulations, safety directives and operating procedures so that the Company can assure compliance.
- Ensure that management is apprised of any area or issue that should be addressed regarding regulatory compliance including environmental, health and safety.
- Maintain well-balanced interpersonal skills; consistently work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with management, co-workers, clients, consultants, general public and representatives of various local, state and federal agencies responding to inquiries and needs as required.
- Report to work as scheduled, which includes regular and predictable job attendance and participation in required meetings; focused attention on details; follow work rules and site-specific policies/procedures.
- Works as a Relief Terminal, Pipeline Operator as required; performs applicable duties.
- Position requires individual who works well under pressure and has a strong commitment to safety
- Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation on all work performed.
- Reliable and engaged in furthering organizational goals, demonstrated by maintaining high standards of personal performance, professional growth and attendance.
- Fosters trusting relationships with co-workers and cross-functional work areas.
- Assist with training as needed and assigned
- Communicate frequently and effectively with management as appropriate.
- Regular schedule includes weekends, holidays and on call 24/7 for emergencies.

Qualifications To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Trade School or 2-year college degree preferred
- Related experience in terminal, pipeline or plant operations preferred
- General knowledge or experience in the petroleum industry preferred
- General knowledge of equipment and maintenance of pipeline and terminal facilities preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills are required
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Must maintain active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
