Western Underground, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been in the valley for over 25 years. We have a 4-10 work schedule, so you get a 3-day weekend every week. We are hiring experienced Wet Utility Pipelayers with a good work ethic, a history of consistent attendance, and great physical strength and stamina to join our team. You'll work under our construction manager's direction, alongside a close-knit team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, to bring our construction plans to life.


The ideal candidate will have 5 YEARS of previous Pipelayer experience and have knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment. If you're ready to work hard every day under various conditions, start your application today.

Compensation:

Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of sizes/types of water, sewer, and storm drain pipe
  • Able to read plans
  • Able to read and interpret survey staking
  • Be proficient in using a laser and a builder's level
  • Able to assemble and install fire hydrants, backflows, meter boxes, etc., to the correct elevation
  • Have knowledge of retention systems such as CMP, chambers, and concrete vaults
  • Strong understanding of soil types and proper excavations

Qualifications:
  • Able to work in inclement weather like extreme temperatures, rain, etc.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • This position relies on physical strength and stamina
  • Have transportation to and from job sites
