Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Pipefitter II to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Pipefitter IIperforms skilledfabrication, assembly, installation, construction, and maintenanceof pipingthroughplan interpretation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selects size and type of pipe and related material according to jobspecifications.
  • Inspects work sitestodeterminepresence of obstructions and toascertainthat holes will not cause structuralweakness.
  • Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructionswithpipe spools.
  • Cutsandthreads; assembles and installs a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe fittings,including those made of brass, copper, lead,glassand plastic; joins pipeby means ofthreaded,Caulk, solder, braze, fuse or cement joints; secures pipe to structure with clamps, bracketsand hangers; installs andmaintainsrefrigeration and air-conditioning systems includingcompressors,pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydrauliccontrolsand piping; test piping system for leaks.
  • Will alsobolt and torque flanges,to performtestandensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Related trade school education is preferred.
  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Five years'experiencepipefitting.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Constructionsafety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures,equipmentand HSE guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings,plansand blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read,comprehendand carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently whenrequired.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and trainonproper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
