Apache Workforce is hiring experienced Pipe Fitters to join a growing industrial manufacturing team in Houston. If you have experience reading blueprints, fitting pipe, and working with carbon or stainless steel, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with competitive pay, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&ID (Pipe & Instrumentation) drawings
  • Layout, assemble, install, and fit pipe systems according to specifications
  • Cut, thread, bend, and prepare pipe using hand tools, power tools, torches, and pipe machines
  • Assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metal piping systems
  • Install supports, hangers, and related pipe components
  • Measure and verify dimensions for accurate fit-up
  • Set up and operate MIG welding equipment for tack welding as needed
  • Maintain material inventory and coordinate with warehouse personnel
  • Perform material audits and ensure production materials are readily available
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

What We're Looking For

✔ 5+ years of Pipe Fitter experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

✔ Experience reading:

  • Blueprints
  • Isometric Drawings
  • P&IDs (Pipe & Instrumentation Drawings)

✔ Strong knowledge of:

  • Pipe schedules
  • Carbon and stainless steel piping
  • Pipe supports and hangers
  • Measuring tools and layout
  • Pipe cutting, threading, and bending equipment

✔ Experience using hand and power tools

✔ Basic MIG welding/tack welding experience

✔ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

✔ Ability to communicate and read work instructions in English

✔ Safety-first attitude with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pipe Fitter Certification or Technical Training
  • Experience with automated pipe cutting and threading equipment
  • Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
