Role Overview

The Pipe Yard Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various pipe machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components. Your expertise in machining techniques and attention to detail will be pivotal in meeting strict industry standards and ensuring the flawless performance of our products.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate pipe machining equipment, such as threaders, grinders, bandsaws, and other tools, following technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Machine pipes and components to precise measurements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials and finished products to identify defects or irregularities.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with the management to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified in relevant technical certifications or training preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in Distribution or Manfacturing industries.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Proficient in operating pipe machining equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of various machining techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision-driven mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
