Job Title: Field TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Field Technician installs, maintains, and tests water tanks, pipes, and related industrial systems at customer sites. This role combines hands-on construction and general labor with basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks, while ensuring safety, quality, and excellent customer service in an outdoor, field-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders or receive oral instructions to determine daily work assignments, required materials, and necessary equipment.
- Select appropriate pipe sizes, types, and related materials in accordance with project specifications and guidelines.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely using appropriate tools, machinery, and handling techniques.
- Inspect equipment, company vehicles, and tools for safety and proper functionality prior to traveling to customer sites.
- Track and maintain company tools and supplies, and promptly report any damaged, missing, or malfunctioning items to the Supervisor.
- Complete a thorough Job Site Analysis for each customer or job site to identify requirements, safety considerations, and work scope.
- Assemble, install, and secure pipes, fittings, water tanks, and related equipment according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, and other approved methods.
- Perform equipment demonstrations for customers after installation and testing, explaining basic operation and answering questions when required.
- Use hand and power tools to modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, pumps, and related machines and equipment according to specifications.
- Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) regulations, procedures, and company policies while performing work.
- Ensure total customer satisfaction before leaving each job site, addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Promote cooperation, effective communication, and teamwork with branch and corporate personnel.
- Actively participate in the companyโs safety culture by following safe work practices and reporting hazards or incidents.
- Understand and practice the companyโs value proposition when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Travel to various customer locations as required to complete installations, maintenance, and service work.
Essential Skills- Experience with construction, general labor, or field-based installation work.
- Ability to install water tanks and pipes according to specifications and safety standards.
- Basic plumbing knowledge sufficient to assist with installation and maintenance of pipe systems.
- Basic electrical awareness related to industrial or field equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools, including basic hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, and related equipment.
- Capability to operate and use power tools safely for cutting, assembling, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure or ruler accurately on the job.
- Ability to read a map and calculate distances to plan travel to customer sites.
- Motivated, safety-oriented mindset with strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and learn new skills and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Prior experience in industrial environments or with industrial equipment.
- Previous background in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
- Openness to starting with limited experience (โgreenโ) if willing to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
- Attention to detail when performing measurements, installations, and system testing.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
