Job description

Way Mechanical is a mechanical and plumbing contractor located in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, service, and the maintenance of these systems. We are seeking a Pipefitter Journeyman to join our team. Way Mechanical is a great place to work and build a career!
Responsibilities:
  • Lay out and fit pipe, offsets, bends, and radiuses.  Assemble and install hangers, pipe, and fittings using couplings, clamps, flanges, bolts, ProPress, soldering, brazing, and tack welding. Use cutting torch to cut and bevel steel pipe
  • Piping systems include Chilled Water, Heating Water, Refrigeration, Condensate, Steam, and Condenser Water piping
  • Understand installation of piping systems according to the contract drawings, shop drawings, and details
  • Keeps work area clean and in an orderly condition.  Follows all company and jobsite/OSHA safety regulations
  • Perform material takeoffs
  • Pipe testing and flushing per project requirements
Qualifications:
  • 4 years of Commercial or Industrial work experience
  • Able to stand, lift, put together, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. without assistance
