Qualifications
  • One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training
  • 3 years of pipe fitting requiredย 
  • 3-5 years of experience working in an manufacturingย environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and useย math skills
  • Ability to read and interpretย a tape measure
  • Must be able to work as a team
  • Ability to pass a drug test
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints.
  • Assemble or secure pipes,ย fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
  • Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment, using hand or power tools.
  • Knowledge of API 1104 and ASME weldments highly desirable
  • Use advanced math including trigonometry
  • Knowledge of pipe formulasย 
  • Knowledge of Pipe Fittings and Takeoffsย 
  • Ability to layout and segment pipe to customer specs
  • Ability to cut pipe, and knowledge of beveling practicesย
