About Hilton Mechanical

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands-on work. We invest in training and always give our employees the opportunity to expand into new areas of the trade.

Overview

We are seeking experienced Pipe Welder/Fitters to join our team. Work will primarily be performed at our shops in Gainesville, GA and Alpharetta, GA. Travel to other jobsites and shops may be needed.

Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.

Pay Range: $28/hr - $35/hr

Requirements

  • Lay out, cut, fit, and weld carbon and stainless steel pipe
  • Work from isometric drawings and P&IDs to fabricate spools
  • Run SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) processes as the job calls for โ€” including root pass and fill/cap on pipe
  • Perform quality welds on rotators and in-position
  • Set, align, and tie in piping systems
  • Handle threaded, grooved, butt-weld, and socket-weld connections
  • Maintain consistent quality requirements
  • Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and hot work permits

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of pipefitting and pipe welding experience in industrial, mechanical, or process piping
  • Able to weld pipe in 2G, 5G, and 6G positions
  • Proficient with SMAW and GTAW; MIG/flux-core a plus
  • Strong print-reading: isometrics, P&IDs, and weld symbols
  • Able to pass a pre-employment weld test
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Current weld certifications (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, or equivalent)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift, fall protection, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications
