Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in the Alameda, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $36/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Marine Pipefitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Repair, modification, and fabrication of onboard ship piping systems including fuel, cooling, lube oil, gray and black water, fire main, potable water, exhaust, hydraulic, and compressed air systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Identify pipe sizes and materials
- Install and remove pipe supports
- Create field layouts
- Silver brazing pipe
- Threading and tube/pipe bending,
- Hydrostatic and pneumatic low-pressure testing
- Create inspection reports
- Use power tools such as grinders, bandsaws, drills, impacts, etc
- Marine pipefitting experince or 2+ yeats of recent and consistent industrial pipe work experience
- Pass a drug screen
- Must have OSHA 10 maritime and firewatch certifications
- Must have respirator certification
- Basic hand tools
