Job description

Summary:

Pipe Recovery Specialist under direct supervision are responsible for the safe execution of operations in all aspects of open hole and/or cased hole logging and completion services which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations both in the shop and at the wellsite. Operates and maintains the wireline truck and and equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares for jobs by performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post-job tool inventory
  • Assist rigging up and down the wireline surface and downhole equipment
  • Assist in tool string make-ups and assembly of downhole logging tools including perforating guns, pipe recovery, and setting tools
  • Maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface logging equipment
  • Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment. Troubleshoot tool, equipment and truck problems.
  • Redress tools in the shop and in the field
  • Provide support to crew members with operations on and off location
  • Other duties as directed

Safety:

  • Must be able to pass a "DOT" physical and secure and maintain at a minimum a Class "B" CDL with an "H" endorsement
  • Work in all types of weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat or cold and high humidity) for extended periods of time
  • Work in a toxic environment (Hydrogen Sulfide Gas) while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus with full face sealed respiratory equipment weighing 30 lbs.
  • Work at remote locations 2 hours from the nearest medical facility
  • Work comfortable up to 15' above ground wearing the appropriate fall protection designated for the job
  • Lift objects 70 lbs.
  • Work in an environment where constant pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, turning, stretching, bending, stooping, etc. is required
