ColonialWebb is seeking experienced Pipefitter Helpers to join our Industrial Refrigeration team. As a Pipefitter Helper, you will assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, and installing of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for ammonia, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing systems.

Pipefitter helpers must be able to travel, majority of the year to service customers in NC, SC, VA, TN.

A day in the life:

  • Assist with lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repairs of piping, piping systems, and industrial processing
  • Load and unload construction materials from trucks and into buildings
  • Furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and devices during installation
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment
  • Work safely, encourages others to do so, and complies with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures

You should have:

  • 1-2 years of (Commercial/Industrial) plumbing or pipefitting experience, is a plus but not a necessity.
  • Knowledge of piping systems, strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic construction/shop math (addition, subtraction, division, fraction, and multiplication)
  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with co-workers and other tradesmen
