Key Responsibilities
  • System Fabrication: Measure, cut, and fit up high-purity stainless steel sanitary tubing and piping systems for custom process skids.
  • Manifold Assembly: Assemble and fit up complex valve manifolds and process skids according to engineering drawings.
  • Tank Fitting: Position, align, and fit up process vessels, reactors, and tanks into skid systems.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and layout schematics.
  • Weld Preparation: Ensure precise fit-ups and beveling for sanitary TIG/GTAW welding.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to hygienic design standards (e.g., 3-A, FDA, ASME BPE) to ensure crevice-free, contamination-resistant joints.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience in sanitary process piping.
  • Specialized Skills: Proven track record of fitting up complex valve manifolds and stainless steel process equipment.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience fitting up and aligning sanitary process tanks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sanitary connections (Tri-Clamp, Bevel Seat), surface finish requirements, and passivation.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using sanitary pipe cutters, facing tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
  • Industry Focus: Direct background building process skids or modular systems for the food, dairy, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy pipe components (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing shop environment.
