Job Summary
We're hiring experienced Pipefitters to install and assemble piping systems on industrial and commercial construction projects in the greater Raleigh-Durham, NC area. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and isometric drawings, measuring and fabricating pipe, installing valves and supports, and assisting with testing and system start-up. Candidates should have strong pipe fabrication skills, knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments. Prior construction or industrial pipefitting experience required.
Per diem available to qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for process, utility, mechanical, or industrial applications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and weld (or coordinate welding) on various pipe materials.
  • Install valves, supports, hangers, and related mechanical components.
  • Assist with pressure testing, system flushing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure work meets all safety, quality, and code requirements.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, welders, helpers, and other trades.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.

Qualifications
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • 5+ years of previous experience as a pipefitter in construction or industrial environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
  • Skilled in pipe fabrication techniques and use of pipefitting tools.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, including LOTO, and confined space entry.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight, elevated, or outdoor environments.
  • OSHA 10

Work Environment
  • Construction and industrial job sites with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, varying temperatures, and physical labor.
  • PPE required at all times; some overtime or weekend work may be needed based on project demands.
