UGS specializes in the fabrication, welding, and installation of complex piping systems, the fabrication and installation of structural steel, rigging and millwright services, plant relocation and retrofit services, and insulation and scaffolding.

Job Duties:

  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial piping systems in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Build and rig pipe systems for various applications, including sanitary pipe systems.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and configurations.
  • Use precision tools such as calipers to measure and cut pipes to the required length.
  • Assemble and fabricate pipe components, including fittings, valves, and supports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations during all installation and repair work.
  • Perform tube bending and shaping as needed to fit pipes into designated spaces.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Pipefitting experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency using precision tools such as calipers for accurate measurements.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing pipefitting work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions safely and accurately.
