INDUSTRIAL WELDER, FABRICATOR AND PIPE FITTER | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • ARC, MIG and TIG
  • Carbon Steel Fabrication
  • Stainless Steel Fabrication
  • Structural, stairs, ladders, platforms, walkways and handrails.
  • Carbon and stainless-steel pipe
  • Primarily field work; limited shop time.
  • Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
  • Wastewater Treatment and Industrial Construction.
  • Utility Pipe Fitting
  • Process Equipment Installation
  • Performs various hands-on work such as pressure washing, dry/wet vacuum truck operations support, steam cleaning, and basic industrial maintenance when necessary
  • Operates a company motor vehicle to travel to and from job sites
  • Operate hand tools, light machinery, and sharp tools while on job location
  • Provides care and light maintenance of tools and equipment to maintain their proper operation when necessary
  • Works in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with established safety and OSHA requirements

INDUSTRIAL WELDER, FABRICATOR AND PIPE FITTER | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS:

  • Full-time position
  • Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holidays
  • Overnight travel required up to 80%; travel via company vehicle;typically10-14 days out or less
  • On-call availability occasionally on a rotating schedule

INDUSTRIAL WELDER, FABRICATOR AND PIPE FITTER | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A valid driver's license (for insurability purposes)with ability to get Class E within first30 days
  • Has ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions and schedules
  • Gives respect to co-workers, clients, supervisors, and vendors
  • Can be on time, flexible, adaptable, and professional.

INDUSTRIAL WELDER, FABRICATOR AND PIPE FITTER | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Three (3) years of general labor or construction experience preferred
  • CDL-A strongly preferred

INDUSTRIAL WELDER, FABRICATOR AND PIPE FITTER | WORK ENVIRONMENT:
EWI's field service team works in a variety of industrial plants and settings. We encounter dust, oils, various commodities such as grain and fertilizer, in varying weather/temperature conditions. Employee must follow all safety standards and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

This employee is required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
