PIPEFITTER / FUSER
We are looking to fill a Pipefitter / Fuser position on our field crew in Henderson, CO. The fitter/fuser plays a vital role in constructing, installing, and maintaining piping systems for natural gas utilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Construct, install, and maintain piping systems for natural gas utilities
  • Join piping by means of fusion, electrofusion or mechanical coupled joints
  • Thread pipe by using a threading machine or hand threader
  • Inspect and test piping system for leaks
  • Provide labor and equipment operation as needed to support specialty crew
  • Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles
  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools
  • Maintain the equipment used in day-to-day operations.
  • Preparation of construction site; digging trenches and setting support braces in trenches
  • Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Must ensure the proper use of personal safety equipment
  • Keep worksite clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards
  • Take on construction tasks in various weather conditions, ensuring every project is completed safely and efficiently
  • Perform miscellaneous duties assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • DOT OQ Gas Pipeline-qualified
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of job-related experience or military equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • DOT Medical Card (if driving a company vehicle)
  • Weekly hours: 40 - 50 hours
  • Physical Requirements:
    • This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
    • Repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
    • Kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
    • Ability to work in loud environments
    • Ability to work in extreme cold and warm outdoor temperatures
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
