OVERVIEW

Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Groupis currently seeking aPipefitter Helperfor the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids, inJonesboro, GA.

The Pipefitter Helper will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions including metal, plastic, ceramic and composition; install plumbing fixtures; provides assistance to other Pipefitters on the jobsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assembles, and installs piping and tubing systems that are to conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures
  • Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment
  • Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
  • Experience in working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
