Duties
Help

• You will prepare lesson plans, training materials, including visual aids, for the development of learning through classroom and on-the-job scenarios.
• You will teach basic trade nuclear theory and practical work.
• You will conduct mock-up training in nuclear pipefitting overhaul, repair, and conversion work assimilating in a controlled environment.
• You will schedule and coordinate practical nuclear work experience in the shop as closely as possible with the progression of learning.
• You will counsel employees on the day-to-day problems involving nuclear trade theory and trade practices as well as other related topics.
• You will maintain records and prepare reports on trainee progress and performance throughout the training process.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
• The position may require you to frequently stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb to complete tasks.
• You will be required to work onboard ships.
