Job description

Seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with experience in PioneerRx to provide per diem support at a retail pharmacy in Broadlands, VA. This role involves working closely with the pharmacist to ensure accurate prescription entry, filling, and patient assistance. Candidates will receive training on non-sterile compounding during the initial days on site.
Location: Alexandria, VA (with work performed at retail pharmacy in Broadlands, VA)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed
Assignment Duration: June 22, 2026 - July 11, 2026
Training on non-sterile compounding is provided from June 22 to June 24.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately entering and filling prescriptions using the PioneerRx system (experience required)
  • Performing some non-sterile compounding duties (training provided)
  • Assisting the pharmacist in daily operations to maintain compliance and quality patient care
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
  • Proven proficiency with PioneerRx pharmacy software (mandatory)
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail setting
  • Knowledge of non-sterile compounding is a plus (training available)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
