Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented Licensed Pharmacist to join our high-volume pharmacy team. This is a part-time/PRN position designed to provide coverage during the week and weekends as well as needed. Candidates should have a flexible schedule, with a tentative regular day during the week and Saturday hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving, energetic outpatient clinic pharmacy!
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic compounding is required. Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy management software and independent retail operations is highly preferred.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Utah.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clinical & Retail Operations: Fulfill all clinical and retail pharmacy functions, ensuring drugs are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Patient Care: Provide expert consultation to patients regarding prescription medications, non-prescription products, and medical devices.
  • Operational Support: Assist with ordering products, inventory management, and supporting pharmacy initiatives to stimulate growth within the clinic and retail sectors.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain effective controls against theft or diversion, ensure accurate record-keeping in the data processing system, and submit relevant information to the Controlled Substance Database in a timely manner.
  • Compounding & Distribution: Oversee bulk compounding and packaging for nursing homes or extended care facilities as required.
  • Team Leadership: Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and interns; delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Facility Management: Execute opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility and managing alarm codes.
  • Customer Excellence: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints with a professional, action-oriented approach.
