Are you a friendly and quick-thinking individual who loves great food? Join our team as a Restaurant Team Member. You'll help create memorable moments for our guests in a lively, fast-paced environment.
Located in the north foothills of Rancho Cucamonga, Pinwheel Pasta features a full-service restaurant, delivery, and curbside pick-up. Join the Pinwheel Pasta staff and work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team to launch our beautiful new restaurant.
THE ROLE:
Pinwheel Pasta is seeking talented Dishwashers to join our culinary department. Selected candidates will be responsible for supporting our Executive Chef in executing culinary operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish washing machine.
  • Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook line and other proper storage areas. • Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
  • Change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
  • Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
  • Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
  • Clean and roll/unroll mats.
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
  • Sweep/mop floors.
  • Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
  • Sweep up trash around the garbage dumpster.
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
  • Notify the manager anytime the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
  • Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Dishwashers are almost always the last person to leave at night so be prepared for some late nights (especially on the weekends). Even after the last table's been served, the kitchen needs to be cleaned and the trash must be emptied.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • No prior experience or training
  • May be required: to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization.
  • Frequently stand and walk; talk and hear. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel or handle; taste or smell; reaches with hands or arms. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 75 pounds.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Required: Active San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card.
