Job description

Collective Design is seeking a Lead Interior Designer to join our team in Frisco, Colorado. We createbespoke luxury residencesthroughout the MountainWest,from custom mountain homes to comprehensive whole-home renovations, where every element from finishes to the final furnishingsare chosen with intention.Our projects typically range from 3,000 to 10,000+ square feet, with clients who are deeply invested in the process and the outcome.The mountains are right outside the door, and so is some of the most meaningful design work of your career.


The Role

This is a hands-on project leadership role within our design studio. You will guide projects frominitialconcept through final installation, own client relationships at the highest level, overseefixed finishes and furnishingsto delivery, and mentor the designers on your team. You will be supported by an experienced executive and operations team so that your focusremainswhere it belongs: on the work.


What You Will Own

  • Project Leadership:Guide the full design process from concept and schematic design through finishselection, construction documentation, and installation on luxury custom homes and comprehensive renovations throughout theMountain region.
  • FF&E Specification and Procurement:Own thefixed finishes and furnishingsprocess with rigor and intention, including finish and material selection, vendor sourcing, budgeting, specification tracking, purchase orders, and white-glove installation oversight.
  • Client Experience:Serve as the primary point of contact. Present concepts with clarity and confidence, stewardscopeand budget with transparency, and deliver an exceptional, high-touch experience at every stage.
  • Team Mentorship:Provide clear direction and meaningful feedback to senior and associate designers. Uphold highest standards of quality and craft while cultivating a collaborative, accountable studio culture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with architects, builders, and vendors to protect design integrity and ensure seamless project delivery.


Who You Are

  • You bring 6 or more years of experience in high-end residential interior design, withastrongfoundationin FF&E including finish and materialselection, full specification, procurement, and installation oversight.
  • You are comfortable with construction documentation and able to navigate complex, multi-phase projects with technical confidence.Proficiencyin AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.We are more interested in how you think spatially than which program you use to get there.
  • You have led client relationships independently andconfidently present to clientsandwithdecisivenessand genuine design authority.
  • You care about the people around you. Mentoring and elevating others is something you consider part of the role, not separate from it.

This role is based in Frisco, Colorado, a mountain town at 9,000 feet surrounded by some of the finest skiing, hiking, cycling, and climbing in North America.
